1. Let students and guest lecturers know that a recording is taking place.
2. Always consider what it would be like for external students i.e. they will only hear your voice not see your actions.
3. Be aware of the microphone location and speak clearly into it.
4. When using PowerPoint presentations, begin by stating each slide number that your discussing (i.e. provide audio signposts).
5. Describe any visuals and indicate when they change.
6. Repeat questions and comments from students into microphone.
7. Summarise student discussion into microphone.
