The Centre for Indigenous Education (CIE) is the main focus for the recruitment of and support services to students The University of Melbourne. Co-operative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health
Established in 1997, the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health (CRCAH) is one of more than 60 CRCs set up by the Commonwealth Government to strengthen links between industry, research bodies, educational institutions and government agencies. The Office for the Co-operative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health is based in Darwin, Northern Territory.

The Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association (AIDA)
The Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association (AIDA) is a professional organisation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students and graduates from across the country. The organisation was formed primarily as a collegiate support network for graduates and undergraduates and to encourage more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into the medical field. There are currently an estimated 90 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors and 100 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students in Australia. For more about AIDA go to

The Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH)

The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO)
NACCHO is the national peak Aboriginal health body. It has a membership of around 100 Aboriginal community controlled health services throughout Australia, which operate in urban, rural and remote areas. NACCHO represents the health interests of Aboriginal communities at the national level. It promotes holistic and culturally appropriate health to Aboriginal communities. For more information see:
