Current Projects

The School has an active research profile and this is demonstrated in the number and range of publications produced by staff and postgraduate students within the School and its Centres (see research publications).

Examples of recent grant awards are summarised in the Grant Awards Report 2004. This document highlights the diversity of public health research activities being undertaken by the School and its Centres, from organisational research in the primary health care setting to medication management within the hospital setting, and from social research in HIV/AIDS to controlled trials in falls prevention. It is the extent of interests and expertise which staff bring to their work which allows the School to contribute at a local, national, and international level to health research, policy and practice.
