Performance Development Scheme

The SPHCM is committed to ensuring that all staff members participate in the Performance Development Scheme. This involves all staff meeting annually with their supervisor to discuss work responsibilities, to review work in the past year, to discuss work in future years and to discuss a person's own career development. This provides an opportunity to reassess contributions to teaching, research and service, and to propose and negotiate any changes in the balance of these activities with the relevant authorities.

Both Academic and Professional & Technical staff have opportunities for further career development, including training opportunities. The School has allocated a sum of $1,000 per staff member per year, for legitimate career development and/or conference attendance or training opportunities.

UNSW Organisation and Staff Development Services (OSDS) Training Program

The UNSW provides a range of learning and development opportunities available to UNSW academic and professional staff. To access the OSDS website, go to MyUNSW and log in and select the Organisation and Staff Development Services link in the Staff Development box on the right hand side of the page.
