Program Information

OHS - Health & Safety

  • The OHS Health and Safety section provides advice and assistance to the SPHCM community on all matters relating to occupational health, safety and welfare, including emergency evacuation procedures. OHS Awareness training is compulsory for all research students. The OHS Unit offers a number of useful training seminars.
  • Ergonomics checklists are available to help you limit the risk of injury.

IT Resources

  • IT Services @ UNSW: Details on software and hardware, wireless, email accounts, user names and passwords, IT policies and security, and IT support.
  • Software available for download: Microsoft Office, Symantec Antivirus, EndNote.
  • NVivo: Can be accessed both on- and off-campus. To access the licence, please send an email request to UNSW IT Service desk requesting a QSR NVivo Licence. Free NVivo tutorials are available.
  • Epi Info: The free statistics package . If you are using a UNSW-owned computer, you will need to log a request with the IT service desk for the software to be downloaded onto your computer. Tutorials for Epi Info are available.

Student Travel

  • Student Travel: All research students should apply for approval to travel in order to be covered by UNSW’s insurance policy. You may also need to complete a risk assessment. See FAQs - Travel (zPass needed).
